Greek Mythology

Greece is a great place and all, but it's mainly known for it's mythology. Did you know that all the planets in our solar system are based off of a god from Greek religion? Here are a few of the "monsters" I guess you could say.

                                                           Cyclops:

         , Wait that's not right.

 There we go...

Cyclops are One Eyed giants, This one is from the original Clash of the Titans.  They are supposedly aggressive and are very hard to kill.

Cerberus:

....Close enough

There is only one Cerberus, and he is the pet to the god "Hades."
He guards the gate to the underworld, and only allows the dead to enter. But never leave.

Echidna:
Before I get a picture for this, you'll be expecting a spiny ant-eater.
but it's not.

Definitely not.
Most people are reminded of gorgons when they see a echidna in Greek mythology, but there is a difference.
Echidnas are half nymph, half speckled snake. They lack the gorgon power of turning men into stone. They are ageless, but not immortal.

Gorgons:

Gorgons are monsters with snakes for hair, there are only 3 gorgons. There's Medusa, Phorcys, and Ceto.
They were all sisters, Phorcys and Ceto were immortal. Medusa was not.
And last but not least,

HARRY POTTER!
just kidding.

Pegasus:

Pegasuses (?) are winged horses, the first thing people usually think of is Hercules when they see the word.
Pegasuses are often thought of as heavenly horses instead of just winged. They aren't immortal, and can be killed.
